  Memphis vs. USF – Series Notes
  • Memphis improved its series record to 20-3 (.870 winning percentage) versus USF with tonight’s win.

  • The Tigers have won seven straight in the series.

  • Memphis also has won three straight over USF in Memphis. The Bulls last won in Memphis in the 2002-03 season, a 75-74 victory over the Tigers at The Pyramid.

  • The 22-point victory for Memphis was the largest margin of victory for the Tigers against USF.

  • In its history, USF’s first game against a ranked opponent was Memphis in 1972-73. The Tigers, ranked No. 11 at the time, defeated the Bulls 87-73 Dec. 7, 1972, at the Mid-South Coliseum. The 1972-73 Tigers squad advanced to the NCAA championship game.

  • Today’s win over USF improved Memphis’ record to 25-4 (.862 winning percentage) against NCAA Division I schools from the state of Florida since 2000-01. Under head coach Josh Pastner, the Tigers are 12-2 (.857 winning percentage) against NCAA Division I schools from the Sunshine State since 2000-01.

  • The Tigers improved their homecourt record at FedExForum to 171-20 (.895 winning percentage) since the building opened in 2004-05. The 171 home wins are the most in NCAA Division I basketball since 2004-05.

  • Memphis hit a season-high 10 three-pointers. The previous season best was eight treys on two occasions (vs. USF Dec. 31, vs. Northwestern State Dec. 7).

  • The last time Memphis made 10 or more three-pointers was on Mar. 15, 2013, when the Tigers connected on 11 treys in an 85-74 win against Tulsa.

  • The Tigers handed out 23 assists today. Memphis has posted 20 or more assists in seven games this season.

  • Memphis has posted double figures in assists in every game this season.

  • Memphis forced 15 USF turnovers, and have now forced 12 or more turnovers in all 19 games this season.

  • The Tigers have now won 15 or more games in 15 consecutive seasons.

  Memphis vs. USF – Player Notes
  • Shaq Goodwin scored 13 points in Sunday’s win over USF. It was Goodwin’s 14th double-figure scoring game of 2013-14. He had 13 double-figure scoring games for the entire 2012-13 season.

  • Goodwin also grabbed 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and fourth of his career.

  • Chris Crawford played in his 115th-consecutive contest vs. USF Sunday.

  • Crawford also moved up the Tigers career scoring list with his 15 points vs. USF Sunday. He remained in the No. 39 spot with 1,095 career points. Up next for Crawford is Baskerville Holmes, who scored 1,112 career points (1982-86).

  • Crawford made a season-high five 3-point field goals in today’s contest. It is the 10th time in Crawford’s career that the senior guard has made five or more three-point field goals.

  • Crawford now ranks fifth all-time in program history with 208 career steals

  • Joe Jackson moved up the Memphis career scoring chart with his 14 points vs. USF Sunday. He remained in the No. 12 spot with 1,475 career points. Up next for Jackson is Phillip Haynes, who is No. 11 with 1,479 career points from 1980-84.

  • With his seven assists vs. USF Sunday, Jackson moved into the No. 7 spot on the Memphis all-time assists chart. Jackson now has 493 career assists, moving him ahead of Antonio Burks (487 assists, 2001-04).

  • Memphis returns to the road this week with contests at UCF Jan. 29 and SMU Feb. 1. The Tigers’ Jan. 29 game at UCF is slated for a 6 p.m. (CT) start on ESPNU. The Memphis-SMU Feb. 1 contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. (CT) tip on CBS Sports Network.
