University of Memphis sophomore center Kelly Wise is eligible to play the second semester for the Tigers. Wise and interim head coach Johnny Jones met with and learned the U of M's athletic academic committee’s decision on Monday.

Wise took steps late in the fall semester to show progress in the classroom, including missing the Tigers’ road trip to the Maui Invitational and joining the team on game day for the U of M’s game at Kansas State.

The Fort Walton Beach, Fla., native is averaging 13.2 points and leads the Tigers with an 8.2 rebounding average.
