First Annual Big Blue Bash Tips Off With First Tennessee Tiger Town Saturday

MEMPHIS, TENN. - The University of Memphis Athletic Department and Tiger Sports Properties are returning First Tennessee Tiger Town to the main plaza level of FedExForum for the men's basketball game against the Tennessee Vols on Saturday, Feb. 23. First Tennessee Tiger Town will take place from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and will resume from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fans are invited to visit the First Tennessee table inside Tiger Town to enter to win two tickets to the March 8th game with UAB or a framed U of M basketball jersey.
*Only fans with a ticket to the Feb. 23rd game or a valid U of M Student ID will be allowed admission to ESPN GameDay activities and the event will be capped at 3,500 participants In addition to live music inside First Tennessee Tiger Town, other Memphis corporate partners will have interactive booths, displays and spirited giveaways. The Big Blue Bash is a new tradition in Tiger Basketball. Fans are encouraged to wear as much blue as possible, paint their faces and do whatever they can to show their school spirit. Prizes will be handed out throughout the evening for the Tiger fans who show the most Tiger Pride. Thanks to Cellular South, the official wireless partner of Tiger Athletics, for its sponsorship of the Memphis-UT game and its support of Memphis Tiger Athletics. The U of M Alumni Association Young Alumni Committee will host a pre-game party through tip-off at Pat O'Brien's on Beale Street as ESPN College GameDay comes to town. Participants can enjoy specials, discounts, door prizes, and TRUE BLUE fun with fellow Tiger fans and the band and cheer squads while preparing for the game while watching basketball on Pat O'Brien's big-screen TV.
