Pastner To be Recognized At Wednesday's Grizzlies Game

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis basketball head coach Josh Pastner will be recognized at Wednesday's (Apr. 15) Grizzlies-Hawks NBA game at FedExForum. Game time for the Grizzlies' regular season finale is 7 p.m. (CT). Tickets are available for Wednesday's game with Terrace Level seats at $10, First Tennessee Club Level tickets for $25 and select Plaza Level tickets for only $20. Pastner's former University of Arizona teammate, Mike Bibby, plays for the Atlanta Hawks. Both Pastner and Bibby were members of the 1997 Arizona squad that won the NCAA title. Pastner was hired as the Tigers' 17th head coach in school history on Apr. 7. The 1998 University of Arizona graduate served one season as an assistant coach at Memphis in 2008-09 after a six-year stint as an assistant on Hall of Famer Lute Olson's staff in Tucson. In his one year as an assistant in the Bluff City, Pastner helped lead the Tigers to a 33-4 overall record and a 16-0 Conference USA mark. Memphis swept the Conference USA regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen.
