Josh Pastner Basketball Academy Tips Off In Early June

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For parents and families wanting to keep their children active this summer, look no further than the 2013 Josh Pastner Basketball Academy. With camp dates throughout the month of June, there's always a time to learn some hoops during any family's busy summer schedule.
The Pastner Basketball Academy has three weeks of day camps, with the first one slated for June 3-6. The other two day camp weeks are June 10-13 and June 24-27. The camp is open to boys ages 7-18, and the cost for one week of camp is $210, which includes a daily lunch and camp t-shirt.
Each day of camp begins with check-in from 8:30-9 a.m. (CT), and then the fun starts around 9:15 a.m. (CT) when the campers hone their hoops skills through individual development and team play. Each day session ends at 4 p.m. (CT).
The Pastner Basketball Academy also is offering a Parent/Child Camp June 15 (Saturday). The camp is open to any boy or girl ages 6 and older accompanied by an adult. The cost of the one-day camp is $105 for both parent and child, and includes lunch and two t-shirts. For each additional child, the cost is $52.50.
A Team Camp is set for June 17-18 (9 a.m.-9 p.m. CT both days), and the cost is $60 per team. For more information on the team camp, contact the Memphis men's basketball office at 678-2346.
The Pastner Basketball Academy also offers several Power Hours throughout the month of June. The Power Hour is a one-hour session that focuses on skill development and individual workout strategies. The Power Hour cost is $7.50 per hour, and the dates are June 5, 7, 12, 14, 26 and 28. The weekday Power Hour times are 4:30-5:30 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. (CT), while the weekend session times are 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. (CT).
