Fans to Help Pick New Memphis Tigers Basketball Floor Design

MEMPHIS -- Heading in to a new conference, the University of Memphis basketball teams are creating for a new look for home games played at FedExForum. The Tigers will get a new floor for the upcoming 2013-14 season and are asking Tigers fans for help with the design. The floor will be featured on national television regularly through the new American Athletic Conference television agreement with ESPN and CBS. The Tigers have narrowed the field down to four final designs.
"We are excited about getting input from our fans on the new design for the Tigers' basketball court at FedExForum," Athletics Director Tom Bowen said. "Our fans are as passionate as any in the country, and this allows them the opportunity to take part in the design process. A new floor, a new conference and a terrific home schedule, coupled with a promising team, will make this a season to remember."
Click HERE to see the four finalist designs, which will be in place for the regular season and the American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament. Voting begins immediately and will close on Monday, June 24th. The chosen design will be announced in early July on www.GoTigersGo.com.
