The official tip-off of the University of Memphis Tiger basketball regular season is just under four months away, but fans can get a glimpse of what the team's 2010-11 prospects will be by reading the Memphis Tiger Hoops Summer Preview.

The Tigers return only two starters in Will Coleman and Wesley Witherspoon, but add one of the nation's top recruiting classes. In addition to the seven signees, Memphis welcomed University of New Orleans transfer Charles Carmouche, who is eligible to play immediately in 2010-11. In fact, this year's group of eight newcomers is the program's largest to enter a season since the 1972-73 campaign, which was the first year freshmen were eligible to play. That 1972-73 NCAA national runner-up squad, under the direction of then-head coach Gene Bartow, had a total of 10 newcomers with seven freshmen and three junior college transfers.

Below is the summer preview (in pdf and issuu formats), along with links to the three-part video series featuring head coach Josh Pastner. In the video series, Pastner talks about his second year, preseason hype, fans' expectations and Memphis Madness.

Remember, Tiger Nation, Memphis Madness is only 90 days away and the start of the regular season is 118 days away.
