Tigers Hoops National TV Games And Times Announced Wednesday

IRVING, Texas-- The University of Memphis men's basketball team is just over a month from tipping off its 2012-13 campaign, and on Wednesday, Conference USA released its national television schedule along with game times. The Tigers are slated for 12 national television appearances with a combination of games on FOX Sports (FSN) and CBS College Sports (CBS SN), in addition to the three Battle4Atlantis national television games Nov. 22-24 on the NBC Sports Network (NBC SN) and AXS TV. Wednesday's C-USA television schedule release lists only national games, and FOX Sports and CBS College Sports could make additional selections. Regional television games, such as those on Comcast Sports South (CSS), will be announced at a later date. Memphis begins its CBS College Sports appearances with the Dec. 5 home contest against Ohio, a 2012 NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen participant. The Tigers also have CBS College Sports games with Tulsa Feb. 2, Southern Miss Feb. 9, UCF Feb. 13, Marshall Feb. 16, UTEP Mar. 5 and UAB Mar. 9. The UTEP game was originally scheduled for Mar. 6, but was moved to Mar. 5 to accommodate television. The Tigers' first FOX Sports appearance is the rivalry game against Louisville Dec. 15. Other Memphis/FOX Sports games include Harvard Jan. 19, Marshall Jan. 26, Southern Miss Feb. 23 and UCF Mar. 2. Also, on Tuesday, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) released its television schedule, and the Memphis-Tennessee Jan. 4 contest is slated for an ESPN2 broadcast. Before Wednesday's release, Memphis was already scheduled to open play at the Battle4Atlantis against VCU Nov. 22 on the NBC Sports Network.
