Basketball Players Help Make Wish Come True
Oct. 29, 1999
For a child who is afflicted with a tragic, life-threatening illness, a dream come true is a very special miracle.
The University of Memphis Tiger basketball team had a hand in helping make one wish come true Friday when they joined the employees of Nova Factor in making one young Memphian's dream become reality.
Natasha was the honored guest for Nova Factor's company Halloween party Friday. Since the 17-year old also loves basketball, Nova Factor and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South made arrangements for U of M basketball coach Tic Price and several of the Tigers to make a special appearance.
For Natasha, the real surprise was realizing her wish had come true when she received her very own computer.
Over the past three years Nova Factor employees have raised over $46,000 for the Foundation. For the Memphis basketball players and coaching staff, being a part of Natasha's day was one of the many activities and events the Tigers do throughout the year to give back to the community.
