Nov. 6, 2013
MEMPHIS, Tenn. --The University of Memphis announced Wednesday that it is joining other athletics departments from across the nation in a weekly national ticket giveaway contest to send fans to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. The 15-week contest begins Wednesday, Nov. 6 and runs throughout college basketball’s regular season, which concludes Mar. 10, 2014.
The contest gives fans the opportunity to win four tickets to the NCAA Men’s Final Four or an NCAA Tournament preliminary-round game. Tigers fans can enter the contest each week through multiple Memphis Athletics platforms on Facebook (MemphisTigers) and Twitter (@TigersAthletics)and select sporting events.
Each week, one winner will be chosen by the Memphis Athletics Department, and the Memphis winner will be entered into a national drawing with fans from other NCAA Division I institutions. The NCAA then will randomly choose one winner to receive the ticket option of their choice (tickets to the Final Four or a tournament preliminary-round game).
The following are the contest’s rules and procedures:
• Each week, there will be a national winner with the fan receiving either four 2014 Men’s Final Four tickets or four preliminary-round tournament tickets of his/her choice (subject to availability; some tournament sites may not be available).
• Each week, the NCAA will notify the one campus administrator who submitted the registrant chosen as the week’s national winner and will discuss details of how its winner can collect his/her prize.
• Each week, the NCAA will post the winning fan’s name (subject to permissions being granted) and the name of the school that submitted his/her registration on NCAA.com and/or other various NCAA social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter).
The following is the contest’s weekly schedule:
• Monday – Campuses send one registrant’s information to NCAA (before 9:59 p.m. CT)
