MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Adonis Thomas, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound forward/guard, has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Memphis beginning in the fall of 2011, Tigers head coach Josh Pastner announced Wednesday.

Wednesday was the first day of the 2010 early signing period for basketball.

"Adonis is an outstanding young man," said Pastner. "Adonis exemplifies what a true student-athlete is - high character, high academics, tremendous work ethic and a big-time basketball player. We're fortunate to continue to get elite-level student-athletes from the city of Memphis, which has the best high school basketball in the country."
