MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Markel Crawford, Kuran Iverson and RaShawn "Pookie" Powell all signed national letters of intent Wednesday to attend the University of Memphis beginning in the fall of 2013.

May miss the entire 2012-13 prep basketball season at Melrose High School as a result of suffering an ACL injury this past summer ... Suffered the injury this past July while playing in an AAU tournament in Milwaukee, Wis. ... ranked him the No. 53 overall recruit in the 2013 class ... A consensus top-35 shooting guard in the nation ... Ranked among the country's top shooting guards by (No. 15), (No. 29) and (No. 35) ... rated him the region's No. 41 player and the state of Tennessee's No. 7 recruit ...

As a junior in 2011-12, averaged 15.2 points and shot 52.5 percent from the field ... Helped lead Melrose to a 24-8 overall record and the District 16AAA championship ... Named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class AAA All-State squad ... Also an All-District 16AAA pick.
