Memphis, Tenn. - University of Memphis interim basketball coach Johnny Jones announced Thursday that Raleigh-Egypt swingman Lou Wright signed a National Letter of Intent with the Tigers on Wednesday, the final day of the NCAA's early signing period.

Wright (6-6, 180) was the second player to ink with the Tigers during the early signing period, joining second cousin and high school teammate Scooter McFadgon (6-3, 170).

The tandem gives the Tigers two of the Top 100 high school prospects according to most recruiting analysts.

Wright is the younger brother of Atlanta Hawk and former U of M star Lorenzen Wright. The younger Wright played the last three years for California power Westchester High in Los Angeles before moving back to Memphis this summer.
