MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Local Tiger basketball fans got an early Christmas present Monday when WKNO/Channel 10 and the University of Memphis reached an agreement to televise six games this season. The first WKNO-televised contest is Tuesday's Memphis-Central Arkansas game, but it is being broadcast on a tape-delayed basis at 10 p.m. (CT).

The other five WKNO games will be aired live, beginning with the Tigers' home contest versus Oakland Nov. 30. Memphis' encounters with Arkansas State Dec. 5, Montana State Dec. 9, SMU Jan. 30 and SMU Feb. 20 are also scheduled to air live on WKNO.

Greg Gaston of Fox 13 Sports will handle the play-by-play and former Tiger standouts Hank McDowell and Elliot Perry will share color analyst duties. Fox 13's Kristin Tallent will serve as the broadcast's sideline reporter.
