University of Memphis Athletic Department officials learned late Friday afternoon that in addition to the Tigers' scheduled basketball game against Austin Peay, a holiday parade has been scheduled for Saturday morning in downtown Memphis.

The TSDmemphis.com Holiday Parade is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Beale and Fourth Street. The procession will move west to Second Street, turns south on Second to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ave., and then east on MLK to Third Street, where the parade will turn north back to Beale and then east back to the origination point at Beale and Fourth.

Tiger fans are asked to utilize Danny Thomas to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ave. as the most direct route to FedExForum Saturday morning. The Memphis Police Department will have officers stationed throughout the parade route to assist with traffic flow and the university has been told that all parking facilities normally used by Tiger fans will be open and available for Saturday's game.
