STADIUM LOCATION Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, which is owned by the City of Memphis, and is operated by the Memphis Park Commission, is located at 335 South Hollywood Street in Memphis.
STADIUM FACTS The stadium was constructed in 1965 and serves as the home for the University of Memphis Tigers, the Southern Heritage Classic and the annual AutoZone/Liberty Bowl, which features the champion of Conference USA and a member from the Southeastern Conference. Capacity of the Liberty Bowl is 61,000.
LOCKER ROOMS The Tiger locker room is located in the south tunnel which is located directly under the JumboTron scoreboard. The visitor locker room is located in the north tunnel.
PLAYING SURFACE The 2005 season marked the first year that the playing surface was changed from natural grass to FieldTurf, which is used by more than 100 Division I universities as well as over 20 NFL teams.
