Bret Huth is in his second year in the role of Associate Director of Athletic Performance at the University of Memphis.
At Memphis, Huth has directed the baseball strength and conditioning program while also assisting in the implementation of the football strength and conditioning program. He has had responsibilities with the maintenance of both the football and Olympic weight rooms at the Billy J. Murphy Athletic Complex.
Huth joined the Memphis staff from The University of Louisiana-Monroe where he earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and elevated to Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Overhead Sports from a graduate assistant position during his tenure in Monroe, La.
At ULM, Huth was the director of the baseball and softball strength and conditioning programs as well as oversaw strength and conditioning programs for volleyball and women's tennis. Additionally, he assisted with the implementation of the football strength and conditioning program.
Huth joined the Louisiana-Monroe staff in 2010 as a graduate assistant before being promoted to his full-time position at ULM in March, 2012.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Huth graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in both Exercise Science and Physical Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he played guard for the Blue Streak from 2005-2010.
He served as an intern strength and conditioning coach during volunteer summer workouts in 2009 at Kent State University and was the head strength and conditioning coach at Euclid High School in Euclid, Ohio, in 2010 while fulfilling his student teacher education program.
Huth is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
