Memphis hit the midway point of the second week of preseason camp, conducting a 100+ play scrimmage on Wed., Aug. 13.

Memphis' all-time leader in quarterback sacks with 22.5 (-125 yards) and finished career ranked tied for fourth in tackles for lost yardage with 36 (-159 yards) ... Concluded playing career ranked sixth among active NCAA FBS players in total quarterback sacks ... Additional active career rankings at the conclusion of senior year included ninth in solo sacks and 14th in total tackles for lost yardage ... In addition to quarterback sacks and tackles for lost yardage, wrapped up collegiate career with 140 total tackles, four pass breakups, four fumbles forced and two recovered ... With 2.5 quarterback sacks during the season (-17 yards) became Mempis' all-time leader in sacks, passing Tramont Lawless who had 22 during his career (1996-99) ... Also had four quarterback hurries, broke up two passes and recovered a fumble during the Tigers' American Athletic Conference championship season ... Helped lead Memphis to its first conference title since 1971 and just the program's second, 10-win season along with a bowl victory in the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl ... The 2014 season marked Memphis' first, 10-win season since 1938 ... After return to the Memphis lineup was part of a seven-game win streak to end the season ... Memphis finished the year ranked 11th nationally in scoring defense (19.5 ppg) and third in red zone defense, allowing opponents to convert on just 68.8 percent of drives inside the 20 ... Led Memphis' defensive linemen in tackles, finishing with 52 tackles including 14.5 for lost yardage (-73 yards) and 11.5 quarterback sacks (-62 yards) ... The 11.5 sacks ranks second all-time in school history while the 14.5 tackles for loss ranks eighth on the Memphis season charts ... Also had three quarterback hurries, a pass breakup and forced a fumble during the 2013 season ... Began junior campaign by registering quarterback sacks in the Tigers' first three games as well as six of the team's first seven contests ... Opened up the 2013 season with fifth career multi-sack game, registering two sacks among his six total tackles and three tackles for lost yardage (-14 yards) ... Following week had seven tackles, including 1.5 for loss (-5 yards) and a sack ... Enjoyed a career game in the Tigers' 31-7 win over Arkansas State ... Finished the year with 46 tackles - 13 solo stops and 33 assists, had four quarterback hurries and forced two fumbles during the year ... After tallying eight total tackles through the first three games, registered quarterback sacks among his tackles in the Tigers' next three games ... Registered Memphis' first quarterback sack of the season against Duke ... In Memphis' win over Rice, had two tackles for loss (13 yards) and a quarterback sack ...
