Helped lead Memphis to its first conference title since 1971 and just the program's second, 10-win season ... The 2014 season marked Memphis' first, 10-win season since 1938 ... Memphis closed out the year with a seven-game winning streak ... Memphis finished the year ranked 11th nationally in scoring defense (19.5 ppg) and third in red zone defense, allowing opponents to convert on just 68.8 percent of drives inside the 20 ... Led Memphis' defense to 92 total tackles including 15.5 tackles for loss (-63 yards) and six quarterback sacks (-36 yards) ... With his activeness in opponents' backfield, finished the year with the eighth-most tackles for loss in a season while his 32.5 career TFLs ranks eighth all-time at Memphis ... In addition to his first double-digit tackle game, set a new career standard with four tackles for loss (-24 yards) including two sacks (-13 yards) ... Also forced a fumble and broke up a pass in the Rose Bowl ... Against Middle Tennessee, registered seven tackles (six solo stops) including three tackles for lost yardage (-12 yards) and two quarterback sacks (-11 yards) ... One of the sacks against MTSU resulted in a safety, giving the Tigers a 9-0, first-quarter lead ... It was Memphis' first safety since the 2003 season (128 games) ... Also against MTSU, forced a fourth-quarter fumble that was scooped up by teammate Bobby McCain and returned 59 yards for a touchdown ... The score gave Memphis a 37-16 lead late in the fourth quarter en route to a victory which began a three-game winning streak to end the season ... Established a career high with eight tackles including 1.5 for loss (-4 yards) in the Tigers' "Battle for the Bones" victory against UAB.
