You may have seen the first of this year's Memphis football commercials this week; well the Memphis Tiger Network was behind the scenes at the 2012 commercial shoot. Check out some of what you may have seen already and more of what you didn't.


Fast pace highlight to Tigers' first practice

There was little down time for any of the 105 student-athletes who went through the University of Memphis' first practice of preseason camp Monday at the Park Avenue Campus.

The Tigers went from station to station and drill to drill throughout a two-hour workout which focused on teaching and fundamentals. In fact, the afternoon session began a few minutes earlier with a walk through.

Had three receptions for 45 yards against UT Martin and also returned three kickoffs for 52 total yards ... Had a season-high six kickoff returns for 104 yards at Arkansas State ... Caught a career-high 10 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns against Middle Tennessee ... The 177 receiving yards against MTSU marked the second-most in a game in Memphis history (Bob Sherlag set the school record with 186 receiving yards against Mississippi State in 1965) ... Had touchdown receptions of 49 and 10 yards against Middle Tennessee ... On the road at Duke had two rushing attempts for eight yards and also caught three passes for 19 yards ... Caught seven passes for 88 yards at East Carolina ... Had four receptions for 37 yards against UCF ... Snared six passes for 44 yards at Marshall ... Finished career with 10 pass receptions for 93 yards during the Tigers' three-game win streak to end the season ... Caught four passes for 55 yards in win over Tulane ... Helped break a 13-13 tie late in the first half, with receptions of 18 and 21 yards to help set up a 24-yard field goal ... In the Battle for the Bones at UAB, caught a 12-yard pass on the second play of the Tigers' first offensive series as Memphis jumped out to a 21-0 lead ... Team leader in receiving yards (704), receptions (41) and scoring by a non-kicker (48 pts) ... Finished the season ranked among the Tigers' single-season leaders for receptions (24th), receiving yards (12th) and TD receptions (T7th) ... Tied for the squad's lead in offensive plays of 20 or more yards (11) ... Six of his 11 plays of 20 or more yards went for TD ...
