Signing Day Celebration Slated for Feb. 5th

University of Memphis football fans will have plenty of opportunities to get their National Signing Day fix next Wednesday, Feb. 5th, as the program announces its 2014 signing class.
Culminating the day will be the Memphis Football Signing Day Celebration hosted by the Highland Hundred at Young Avenue Deli (2119 Young Ave.) in the Cooper Young Historic District. The public is invited to the event which will take place from 5-8 p.m.
Fans will have an opportunity to mingle with the Memphis coaching staff and gain insight into the next generation of Tigers at the event. Cover cost for the event is $20 and includes beer, soft drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
As the university's compliance office clears paperwork next Wednesday, the athletic department will announce each signee at GoTigersGo.com as well as through Twitter at @TigersMedia.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Feb. 5th, Memphis' coaching staff will talk about signees during a webcast on the All-Access site of GoTigersGo.com. The video stream will not require a subscription to be viewed.
Multiple Pro Bowlers
The University of Memphis had two players make the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl played earlier this week.
Dontari Poe, who finished his second NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, had a 42-yard interception return for Team Sanders in the game.
New England Patriots place kicker Stephen Gostkowski played for Team Rice. Gostkowski was the NFL's leading scorer during the 2013 regular season with 158 points scored (44 extra points made; 38 field goals).
