The University of Memphis will announce its 2014 football signing class as National Letters of Intent and other paperwork are faxed in and approved by the university’s Office of Athletic Compliance on Wednesday.
Memphis will announce each signee via the GoTigersGo.com web site as well as through the Office of Athletics Communications’ Twitter account, @TigersMedia. Fans can go to the following link for a list of signees as well as player capsules which will be updated throughout the day: http://www.gotigersgo.com/signingday/.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Feb. 5th, Memphis’ coaching staff will talk about signees during a webcast on the All-Access site of GoTigersGo.com, the Memphis Tiger Network. The video stream will not require a subscription to be viewed. The link to the site is http://www.gotigersgo.com/allaccess/.
In addition to being a guest on the webcast, Memphis football coach Justin Fuente will address the media at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday and that press conference will also be available at GoTigersGo.com and the Memphis Tiger Network.
Culminating the day will be the Memphis Football Signing Day Celebration hosted by the Highland Hundred at Young Avenue Deli (2119 Young Ave.) in the Cooper Young Historic District. The public is invited to the event which will take place from 5-8 p.m.
Fans will have an opportunity to mingle with the Memphis coaching staff and gain insight into the next generation of Tigers at the event. Cover cost for the event is $20 and includes beer for those age 21 and over, soft drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
