MEMPHIS, TENN. -
The Highland Hundred football booster organization is holding its 10th annual Highland Hundred / Les Phillips Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, June 8, at Memphis National Golf Course.
There will be shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with lunch served from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. The course is located at 10135 National Club Drive in Collierville. Fans interested in participating can register as a single or enter a four-man team.
"The Highland Hundred golf tournament is the main support of our football camp, which is vital to our program," said head coach Tommy West. "We appreciate the support of this very important event."
West and his staff will be in attendance and fans will be able to post a silent bid in advance to have one of the coaches play on their team. There is a minimum bid of $150 for each coach. All bids should be sent to director of football operations John Flowers by June 1. Flowers will notify teams that will be playing with a coach on June 2. Bids can be faxed to 901-678-4123, or emailed to jflowers@memphis.edu.
The registration form and payment of $150 per person is due by June 1 to John Flowers in the football office. Checks should be made out to the Highland Hundred. Former Tiger football players are invited to participate in the tournament for a discounted rate of $75 per person. All money collected for the event directly benefits the Tiger football program.
The Highland Hundred is also in search of hole sponsors for the tournament. All sponsors will have individual signage displaying their business name placed on either a tee or green. Sponsorships are $150 and are due by June 1 to John Flowers.
