MEMPHIS, TENN. - Defensive lineman Frank Trotter has agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.

Trotter (6-2, 275) started 36 of his 49 career games with the Tigers, led the line in tackles during the 2011 season with 61 and was the team leader in TFL with 13 for minus 46 yards. Trotter posted 46 solo stops while also leading the squad in sacks with five. He also logged three pass breakups, four quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He made an 18-yard return on the recovery against Marshall for one of the Tigers' four defensive touchdowns this past season. For his efforts during his senior season, Trotter was named the team's Defensive Lineman of the Year at the post-season banquet. A native of Mobile, Ala., Trotter ended his four-year career ranked third all-time at Memphis with 36.5 tackles for loss.

Trotter joins offensive lineman Ronald Leary, who was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. Defensive lineman Dontari Poe, who was a junior with the Tigers in 2011, was drafted in the first round as the No. 11 overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs. Poe is the first-ever defensive lineman for Memphis to be selected in the first round, and is the first defensive player drafted in the first round since defensive back Jerome Woods was selected as the 28th overall pick, also by the Kansas City Chiefs, in 1996.
