Kickoff Time for Tigers' Game at UCLA Announced
May 29, 2014
The Pac-12 Conference announced Thursday the University of Memphis' Sept. 6 game at UCLA will kickoff at 7 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. Central) and will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
Currently Pac-12 Networks are available in the Memphis market on the sports tiers offered by both AT&T U-verse TV and DISH Network along with additional television service providers nationally.
The UCLA contest will mark the Tigers' first game played in California since a 24-10 win over then, No. 16 Southern Cal on Sept. 2, 1991. Memphis will be playing in the Rose Bowl for the first time since beating San Jose State, 28-9, at the 1971 Pasadena Bowl.
Memphis has two returning players from Southern California - senior linebacker Ryan Coleman (Rialto, Calif.) and senior defensive end Melvin Jones (Riverside, Calif.). Memphis also signed junior college linebacker Thomas Brown who played the 2013 season at Riverside Community College and is a native of Gardena, Calif.
While kickoff times for most of the Tigers' games will be announced 12 days prior to game days, kickoff time for the season opener against Austin Peay on Aug. 30th is expected to be made by the American Athletic Conference sometime next month.
