Memphis, Tenn. - Sophomore running back Brandon Ross and senior defensive lineman Demetrius Culpepper are no longer members of the University of Memphis football team for personal reasons as announced by head coach Tommy West today.

Ross played in eight games as a true freshman in 2008, rushing for 296 yards and two touchdowns on 58 carries. Culpepper played in 10 games after transferring from East Mississippi Community College. He totaled five tackles and had a forced fumble last year.
