IRVING, Texas - FOX College Sports has announced it will televise the University of Memphis football home contest against Rice on Saturday, October 6, at 6 p.m. CDT at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

This season, six Tigers Football games will be carried on television. Since 2007, at least six games have been broadcast on television each year.

Other televised games in 2012 include three on Comcast Sports South. CSS will televise home contests against UCF (Oct. 20) and Southern Miss (Nov. 24) and a road game at East Carolina (Oct. 13). The Tigers' game at SMU (Oct. 27) will be carried by Time Warner Texas, and the game at Arkansas State (Sept. 8) will be on ESPN3.com.

FCS is available to approximately 68 million homes and is seen by viewers in the nation's 25 largest cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Minneapolis and Tampa. Key MSO partners include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Cablevision Systems, Mediacom Communications and Cable One. FCS is also available on satellite through DirecTV.

Memphis opens the 2012 season at home against UT Martin on September 1 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. Tickets are on sale now for the game at GoTigersGo.com or by calling the Tigers Ticket Office at 901-678-2331.
