After working out the morning session in shells, the Memphis Tigers returned to the Murphy Athletic Complex for a full-pad practice Wednesday afternoon which was underscored by a situational scrimmage.

"I thought it was okay," second-year coach Justin Fuente said of the Tigers' first scrimmage work. "I didn't think it was great. I thought we made too many mistakes. I'm sure we did some good things when we look at it on film but I thought it was pretty average."

At this point in camp, Fuente said the coaching staff just wants to see its players on the field.

"We are not evaluating any scheme," he said. "We are evaluating guys just getting out there and playing - young guys, old guys, guys competing for positions."

Memphis will practice once on Thursday before having a second set of two-a-day practices on Friday. The team will scrimmage again to cap the first full week of camp on Saturday.

The Tigers open the 2013 season Sept. 7th when they play host to Duke at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Ticket prices for the 2013 football season are unchanged from last year and the Tigers play a total of seven home games. Fans can purchase season tickets online at gotigersgo.com, or by calling the athletic ticket office at (901) 678-2331 or (888) 867-UofM.
