Tigers Team with AutoZone for Ticket Sales
Aug. 22, 2012
In an effort to give fans additional opportunities to purchase tickets to the Sept. 1 season opener against UT Martin, the University of Memphis has teamed up with area AutoZone stores to sell $5 end zone tickets for the game. Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 22, all 38 Memphis-area AutoZone stores will have end zone tickets available for purchase to the season opener. AutoZone is the only place where fans can purchase $5 tickets. End zone tickets will be available for $10 at the Liberty Bowl on game day. "I can't thank AutoZone enough for their willingness to partner with us to promote this important first game," said Tom Bowen, Director of Athletics at the University of Memphis. "They are a true supporter of the University of Memphis and our community." With rejuvenated excitement surrounding the Tiger football program under first-year coach Justin Fuente, along with major renovations to Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium including new scoreboards and lighting set to debut, the opener is quickly becoming a "can't miss" event in the city. Tickets will be on sale at AutoZone stores through Saturday, Sept. 1.
