MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis football fans can rely on the Tiger Sports Network to bring them ultimate game coverage via the airwaves this 2010-11 season, as well as a live radio show with new Head Coach Larry Porter.

The one-hour Larry Porter Radio Show will be broadcast live each Thursday at 7 p.m., during the football season, making its debut on Sept. 2. The show will air live on News Radio 600 WREC, and fans are encouraged to come watch the action at Brookhaven Pub and Grill, located at 695 W Brookhaven Circle. Hosted by Forrest Goodman, the show will allow fans the opportunity to call in and ask questions of Coach Porter, who also will preview the upcoming game and provide relevant team updates. Radio listeners can join the show and ask questions by calling (901) 535-WREC or 800-474-WREC.

"We are thrilled that Coach Porter has come back to Memphis to lead the Tigers, and we didn't want to pass up this opportunity to host his show," said Christy Forman, owner of the Brookhaven Pub and Grill. "Make sure and get to Brookhaven early because we will be offering great specials and the Highland Hundred will be bringing TOM III to the first show."

Tiger Night specials at Brookhaven Pub include $4 burgers, $4.50 cheeseburgers and $7.50 Tiger Bleu Chips. U of M students showing their ID will receive free soft drinks and chips with salsa. There are also drink specials and fans attending will have a chance to enter to win a private Tiger viewing party at Brookhaven Pub and Grill.

News Radio 600 WREC, home of Tiger football, is the flagship of the Tiger Sports Network, which reaches western Tennessee and into Nashville on WAMB-AM 1160. The Tiger Sports Network is managed and overseen by Tiger Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports and the multimedia rights holder for the University of Memphis Athletics Department.
