Battle for the Bones Barbeque Contest Moves to Memphis
Oct. 3, 2007
Battle for the Bones Rules and Entry Form
The 2007 UAB vs. Memphis football game will continue a new tradition in the rivalry between the two schools. The teams will once again be playing for a 100-pound bronzed rack of ribs that will be passed back and forth between the winning school each year. The theme of the trophy comes from the tradition of fine barbecue in both Memphis and Birmingham. The two cities are renown for their high quality barbecue, which has become a part of the culture of the cities. The game will also be surrounded by a barbecue competition where fans are invited to sign up and have their grilling skills judged against fans from the other school to determine which city has the best barbecue. If interested in entering the barbecue cooking competition, download the form below, fill it out and mail it with your entry fee to: Battle for the Bones BBQ Competition Questions?
