Tigers Add Dancy to List of JUCO Signees

University of Memphis football coach Justin Fuente announced Thursday the signing of Eastern Arizona College offensive lineman Will Dancy to a National Letter of Intent.
The addition of Dancy (6-5, 305), gives the Tigers' six signees - five JUCO players who have signed NLIs and Sequoyah-Tahlequah High School quarterback Brayden Scott who signed a financial aid agreement.
Signing NLIs with the Tigers on Wednesday were four junior college student-athletes -Trinity Valley linebacker/defensive end Kewan Alfred and wide receiver Adrian Henderson, Riverside, Calif., Community College linebacker Ryan Coleman and Copiah-Lincoln wide receiver Joe Craig.
Dancy will have three years of eligibility over the next four years after playing his true freshman season at Eastern Arizona. The Graham, N.C., native graduated from Southern Alamance High School in 2011 and attended Hargrave Military Academy (2011-12) before enrolling at Eastern Arizona.
He played for a run-oriented Eastern Arizona team which led the Western States Football League with a 323.6 yards per game rushing average. The Gila Monsters averaged 376.5 total yards of offense and 31.0 points per game. Dancy was named to the 2012 All-WSFL First Team as well as the All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference First Team following the 2012 season.
The Midyear JC Transfer period to sign an NLI continues through Jan. 15, 2013. National Signing Day for high school seniors is Feb. 6, 2013.
