The University of Memphis men's golf team will look to make the 2012-13 season another memorable one as the team returns eight letterwinners from a squad that captured its first Conference USA title and made the school's first trip to the NCAA Championships in 24 years.
Spring 2013: Competed in all eight tournaments ... Named Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week on March 13 after tying for third and helping Memphis to a runner-up finish at the Tiger Invitational ... Carded a 2-over-par 218 (74-71-73) to allow the Tigers to defeat five top-50 teams ... Second on the team in scoring average with a 74.0 ... Had one top-10 finish and four top-20 finishes ... Led Memphis at the NCAA West Regional by tying for 20th with scores of 65-75-73 for a 213 (-3) ... Carded his best round of the season with a 65 (-7) to begin the regional ... Score tied for the third lowest round in program history.
Fall 2012: Competed in every fall tournament, collecting three top-10 and four top-20 finishes ... Opened the season by tying for third at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate with scores of 73-72-70 to total 215 (-1) ... Posted his low round of the fall at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate with a 68 in the first round ... Tied for eighth at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate with scores of 74-71-71 for an even-par 216 ... His other top-10 finish of the fall came at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate where he tied for ninth with scores of 72-73-71 (216, E).
Spring 2012: Played in eight of nine tournaments after transferring to Memphis from Arkansas for the spring semester ... Fired rounds of 74-73-72 to help the team to a second-place finish at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate ... Had his best performance of the season with scores of 71-73-72 to finish eighth at the National Invitational Tournament ... Finished fourth with rounds of 72-73-76 at the Memphis Intercollegiate ... Took 13th with scores of 72-74-73 at the Conference USA Championship ... Helped the Tigers capture their first C-USA title ... Finished 26th at the NCAA Bowling Green Regional, firing 77-69-76 ... Finished 135th with rounds of 79-79-74 at the NCAA Championship.
