Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

MOBILE, Ala.--The University of Memphis golf team posted a final round team score of 305 to finish eighth in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate. Jonathan Fly led the Tigers in the final round with a three-over-par 75.

Fly's three-round total of 220 (73-72-75) put him in a tie for 14th place individually. Jack Belote turned in final round 76 to finish in a tie for25th place. Steve Lee also carded a three-over-par 75 in round three and finished in a tie for 52nd position.

Jeff Hall, who posted back-to-back 72's in the first two rounds, turned in a final round 89 and posted a 76th place showing. Parker Rush turned in a final round 79 and finished in a tie with Hall.

Memphis posted a team score of 305 in round three to give them a three-round team score of 887. The Tigers finished in eighth place, 10 shots behind champion Ole Miss (291-285-301).

The Rebels posted a 301 in the final round to claim victory at the Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course. Illinois State (293-293-292) was the runner up and finished one shot behind Ole Miss, while Louisville (299-286-294) claimed third.

Kent Bulle (MTSU) and Jack Hiluta both posted three-day totals 213 (-3) to tie for medalist honors. Three other golfers tied for third.

Next up for Memphis is a trip to Lafayette, La. for the Louisiana Classics on March 8-9.
