Men's Golf Remains in 10th Through Two

BATON ROUGE, La. - The University of Memphis men's golf team is alone in 10th place out of 18 teams participating in the LSU Spring Invitational. LSU, Jacksonville State and South Alabama are all tied in the team race, while South Alabama's Ryan Gildersleeve leads all golfers with a 139 after shooting a one-under 71, Saturday, on the 7190 yard University Club course. A pair of Tigers are tied for 32nd overall. David Jeans followed Friday's 72 with a 76, Saturday, while Alan Weant took two strokes off Friday's 75 to post a 73 for a 148, four over par total. Michael Prieur is tied for 42nd overall at five over par after firing a 73 Saturday. Allan Thomas struggled, Saturday, firing an 81 Saturday after a 73 on Friday to drop to 154 overall. Richard Jones was the Tigers' final scorer, shooting par Saturday after struggling with a 13-over performance, Friday. Jones is tied for 88th overall with a 157.
