Alan Weant Tied For 13th At The LSU Spring Invitational

Baton Rouge, LA - The University of Memphis men's golf team shot a one over par total of 289 and are currently tied for 12th entering the final round of the 2004 LSU Spring Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Furman University leads the team competition with a score of 561 and holds a four stroke over the next closest squad entering the final 18-holes. T.J. Blandford of Furman is also leading all individual scorers with a 10 under par total of 134. Blandford has turned in rounds of 66-68 to lead the field. Michael Thompson of Tulane University trails Blandford with a seven under par score of 137. The Tigers' Alan Weant shot his second under par round of the tournament and is tied for 13th with a 141. Middle Tennessee State, which led the event after 18-holes, dropped into second place with a team scdore of 565. Charlotte is third at 567, while Jacksonville State is fourth at 571 and host LSU is fifth with a 573. Memphis is tied with Arkansas Little Rock at 581.
