Tigers Finish 12th In LSU Spring Invitational

Baton Rouge, LA - The Memphis men's golf team completed play in the LSU Spring Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a score of 877 and finished in 12th place. Tiger senior Alan Weant is currently tied for 23rd place with a three round total of one under par 215. Michael Thompson of Tulane University won medalist honors with a score of nine under par 207. Host team LSU came from behind on the final day of competition and won the title with a score of 851. Furman University, which led the event after 36-holes, fell to second place with a score of 852. Jacksonville State was third with a 855, while Middle Tennessee State was fourth with a 859 and Charlotte and Central tied for fifth place with team scores of 862. Tiger senior David Jeans tied for 42nd with a 220. Clayton Ellis finished play tied for 56th with a total of 223, while junior Richard Jones was tied for 60th at 224.
