Tigers Jump Into a Tied For 7th Place at Billy Hitchcock

Opelika, AL - The University of Memphis Tiger golf team cared a team score of 293 and moved into a tie for seventh place at the 2002 Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate. Host team Auburn is leading the tournament with a score of 567. SMU is 11 strokes back in second place at 578, while Southeastern Louisiana is third at 579. Mississippi State holds fourth place at 580 and Florida State and Jacksonville State are tied for fifth at 583. Kevin Haefner of Auburn continues to lead the individual championship with a five under par score of 139. Memphis's Alan Weant turned in a one over par score of 73 on Saturday and is tied for 20th at 147. Senior Chris Reinke is tied for 25th with a 148.
