Memphis finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 893. It was Memphis’ best finish of the 2012 spring season, and its second-straight top-five showing. The Owls’ Matt Nagy put Kennesaw State up two shots with a birdie on No. 16, but shot a double-bogey on No. 18 to pull the Owls back into a tie with Memphis. Kennesaw State’s Ben Greene then birdied the final hole to give the Owls the Memphis Intercollegiate title by a slim one-stroke margin of 892 to 893. Greene won individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 72-72-71—215. Pearson led a quartet of Memphis golfers finishing in the top-20 with a fifth-place showing. He shot a 72-73-76—221.
