Round One Results Get Acrobat Reader

SORRENTO, Fla.—The University of Memphis golf team is in fourth position after posting a team total of 300 in the first round of the Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship.

Carlson Cox and Lexus Keoninh fired a duo of 73’s to lead Memphis in the first round. They are tied for fifth place individually. Jonathan Fly, Jack Belote, and Brandon Bunn all carded opening round 77’s and are tied for 25th position.

With four top 10 individual finishes on day one of the 2010 C-USA Men's Golf Championship, UCF (292) took an early three-stroke lead over second-place Rice (295). Memphis (300) is eight strokes back in fourth position.

The Tigers will tee off on No. 1 at 8:30 a.m. with East Carolina, who finished a stroke behind at 301, and Houston, who tied for sixth place with SMU.

Tuesday's final round tees off at 8 a.m. The winner of the C-USA Championship receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. Live scoring is available via Golfstat.
