SORRENTO, Fla.—The University of Memphis golf team posted a team score of 301 in the second round of the Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship and is in ninth place with one round remaining at the RedTail Golf Club.

Jonathan Fly paced Memphis in round two by firing an even-par 72. He is currently in a tie for 21st in position. Carlson Cox is the low individual through two rounds after posted scores of 73-75 in the opening two rounds. He is currently tied for 15th.

Jack Belote (77-75) and Lexus Keoninh (73-79) are tied for 29th position. Brandon Bunn is in a tie for 43rd position after turning in scores of 77-79.

The Tigers are in eighth position through two rounds with scores of 300-301. Memphis was in fourth place after the opening round. Host UCF retained its first round lead by firing a team score of 288 in the second round. Rice took five shots off its first-round score and finished with a 290 for the day.

Tulsa is in third with a total of 592 through two rounds. Memphis is paired with UAB and Houston for the final round of the Conference USA Championship.

The Tigers tee off Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. (EDT). Fans can keep up with the action live via Golfstat.
