Memphis Finishes 15th in Inaugural Golfweek Conference Challenge

Brandon Bunn's second consecutive 74 paced the Tigers in the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge. The Tigers turned in a final round team total of 310, leaving them in 15th place for the tournament.
Bunn's three-day total of 223 (+7) landed him in a tie for 36th place individually. Jonathan Fly posted a final round 78, giving him a three-round total of 226 and putting him in a tie for 47th. Lexus Keoninh struggled to a final round 84 after the leading the Tigers on day two. His total of 230 was good enough for a tie for 61st. Jack Belote's tournament total of 235 and Philip Breeding's 243 put them in T68th and 75th place, respectively.
Trailing by four strokes to 36-hole leader Iowa, Florida State fired a final round 281 to climb to the top of the leader board. Iowa's final round 293 left it eight shots back in second. Coastal Carolina's final round 290 left them in third place for the competition.
Thanks to his stellar final round 68, Drew Kittleson of Florida State was able to tie 36-hole leader Brad Hopfinger of Iowa for medalist honors. Both players carded even totals of 207 (-9). Hudson Johnson of Vanderbilt finished two strokes back in third after a final round 70.
The Tigers return home before traveling to Hattiesburg, Miss. on September 14 to compete in the Sam Hall Intercollegiate.
