Memphis Finishes in Tie for Eighth at Sam Hall Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, MISS.--Jonathan Fly's final round 69 led Memphis to a third round score of 286 and an overall finish of tied for eighth at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate. Fly's three-round total of 210 earned him a share of ninth place individually, the seventh top-20 finish of his career. Memphis finished in a tie with Southern Miss, which was led by Dylan Plucienski's runner-up individual finish. Kennesaw State (278-281-280--839) set a tournament scoring record by turning in a three-round team total to beat out Louisiana-Lafayette (286-274-283--843) by four strokes. Defending champion Southeastern Louisiana (280-282-283--845) finished seven strokes back in third. Grant Milner finished in a tie for 20th after posting a three-round total of even-par (213), earning a top-20 finish in his collegiate debut. Carlson Cox, who led Memphis on day one with scores of 74-66, turned in a final round 76 to land in a tie for 31st position. Lexus Keoninh (74-71-72--217) and Steve Lee (74-72-75--221) finished in ties for 40th and 58th, respectively. The Tigers will return to competition Sept. 24-26 when they travel to the Music City for the Mason Rudolph Championship.
