@MemphisMGolf 3rd After First Day of Shoal Creek Intercollegiate

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Memphis men's golf team currently sits in 3rd place after two rounds at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate hosted by the UAB Blazers.
Will Pearson led the Tigers with a pair of 70's on the day, putting him at -4 heading into the final round. Freshman Lars Van Meijel put a three under 69 in his first round as a Tiger and finished the day at two under 142.
Erwan Vieilledent was the third tiger to finish the day under par, shooting an even 72 in the first round and then a 1-under 71 in the afternoon round.
Cory Gaylord joined van Meijel at 69 in the first round, but shot an 80 in the aftenroon, finishing the day at +5.
John Luke Tyler rounded out the Tigers day, struggling in the morning, putting up an 83, but went on to shoot an even 72 in the afternoon.
