The Arkansas State University Indians turned in a 36-hole total of 577 and hold a six-stroke lead going into the final round of the 2001 Hillman Robbins Memorial Intercollegiate hosted by The University of Memphis at Big Creek Golf Club.
Jacksonville State is in second place after two rounds with a score of 583, while Florida Southern is one stroke back in third place with a 584. Austin Peay State and The University of Memphis round out the top five with scores of 585 and 592, respectively.
Derek Brown of UNC Wilmington holds the individual lead with a six-under par total of 138. Marquette's Nathan Colson is in second place with a four-under par total of 140. U of M senior Chris Reinke is tied for fifth with a two-under 142. The tournament's low round score was a 68 posted by Brown and Colson in the first round, as well as Adam Shanks of Austin Peay State and Nick Mackay of Jacksonville State in round two.
Final round play begins Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. at Big Creek.
