MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Fifteen schools returned to Colonial Country Club this morning to finish the second round of the Memphis Intercollegiate, which was shorted because of yesterday afternoon's thunderstorms. The Tigers finished the second round one under par to take third place in the tournament.
Ole Miss (280-292, 572) maintained an eight stroke lead over the field to finish as tournament champions at four under par. Southern Miss (298-282, 580) surged to finish the second round at four under par to capture second place.
Penn State's Kevin Foley (138), who breezed through the first round with a 65, struggled through the second round, but held on to claim the individual championship.
Memphis' Brandon Bunn (71-73) finished at even par for a fifth place tie. Robbie Greenwell (73-72) tied for ninth at one over par.
Ian Rochester (79-71) jumped 30 spots to tie teammate Jeff Hall (74-76) for 34th overall, and Jordan Payne (78-71) improved by 28 spots to finish tied for 30th.
