No. 26 Memphis Eighth After Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Second Round

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The Memphis men's golf team shot an even-par 288 in second round action at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Saturday, putting them in Eighth place heading into final round action Sunday. The Tigers are at even-par for the Tournament, putting them 12-strokes behind first place Kent State.
Senior Erwant Vieilledent and Sophomore Thomas Perrot paced the Tigers Saturday, both shooting a 1-under 71. Freshman Lars Van Meijel and junior Cory Gaylord rounded out the scoring for Memphis, both shooting 1-over-par 73. Senior Will Pearson shot a two-over 74.
van Meijel leads the Tigers through two rounds, with a three-under-par 142, putting him tied for 16th overall. Perrot sits right behind van Meijel with a 143, tying him for 20th overall. After his 73 on Saturday, Gaylord has totaled 146 through two rounds, putting him tied for 37th. His one-under round has put Vieilledent tied for 43th with 147 strokes. Pearson is right behind Vieilledent with 148 strokes and is tied for 46th.
The Tigers complete action at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Sunday morning with a staggered start. Pearson will start things for the Tigers at 8:30, followed by Vieilledent, Gaylord, Perrot and van Meijel.
