Strong Final Round Pushes @MemphisMGolf to Sixth Place Finish at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The Memphis men's golf team concluded action at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon. The Tigers shot a 6-under-par 282 to improve to sixth play in the 14 team tournament.
Freshman Lars Van Meijel continued his strong fall, shooting a four-under 68 to lead the Tigers on the day. Van Meijel finished the tournament with a 6-under 210, good for a tie of eighth place out of 78 total golfers.
Sophomore Thomas Perrot shot a 2-under-par 70 in the final round, giving him 213 total strokes for the tournament. His three-under-par puts him tied for 14th overall.
Will Pearson shot his best round of the weekend on Sunday, shooting a three-under 69. Pearson finishes the weekend 1-over-par and tied for 30th overall. Cory Gaylord shot a 3-over-par 75 on the day, finishing the weekend at 221 strokes and 5-over-par. The junior finished the tournament tied for 49th. Senior Erwan Vieilledent rounded out the Tigers, finishing with a seven-over 79 on the day, giving him 226 strokes on the weekend and 61st place.
The Tigers will return to action Oct. 26-27 when they compete in the Bridgestrone Golf Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
