Tuscola, IL - The University of Memphis Tiger golf team posted an opening round team score of 318 and are tied for 16th after 18-holes of the 2001 Ironhorse Intercollegiate in Tuscola, Illinois.

Missouri-Kansas City leads the event with a team score of 292, while Tennessee State is second at 293 and Southern Illinois is third with a team score of 295. DePaul, host Eastern Illinois and S.E. Missouri State round out the top five with scores of 298 and 299 respectively.

Tennessee State's Mark Seale and UMKC's Matt Willmott have the individual lead after shooting two under par 70s during the first round. Memphis's Chris Reinke tied for 33rd with a 76.

The final round of the 36-hole event is scheduled for today.
