@MemphisMGolf Four Shots Back After Day One of ASU Fall Beach Classic

GOLF SHORES, Ala. – The Memphis men’s golf team finished the second round of the ASU Fall Beach Classic late Monday afternoon, with 584 strokes. The Tigers are just four shots behind first place West Florida at 580 and only two shots behind second place Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe and Arkansas State.
Will Pearson shot rounds of 70 and 71 to pace the Tigers and finish the day tied for third place overall. Lars Van Meijel shot a 71 in the first round but then a 76 in final round of the day to finish with 147 and tied for 17th overall. Erwan Vieilledent shot 74 in the morning round and 73 to tie with van Meijel at 147.
Florian Loutre shot rounds of 74 and 75 to finish the day with 149 and tied for 30th overall. John Luke Tyner shot rounds of 78 and 76 to finish the day tied for 47th. Eithel McGowen completed two rounds as an individual, shooting rounds of 80 and 75 to finish with 155 strokes and putting him tied for 55th place
The Tigers will complete the tournament Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
